President Trump is said to soon allow for a more speedy processing of the killing of pigs. The article written by Tom Philpot and posted on  April 19, 2019 states that some policies and regulation are being considered in the Trump administration to increase the number of pig carcasses that need to be processed by the minute. Currently it is about 16 per minute. This number already places workers that work in the "kill" at risk of injury as they could easily be injured by moving carcasses weighing more than 270 pounds. We as consumers, should be concerned for the safety of the workers. I feel like, I will not be able to eat pork again.
